The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval
The Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. Park Place of St. John has earned the Joint Commission’s prestigious Gold Seal of Approval, as well as a special certification in Post-Acute Care. Achieving accreditation is not mandatory for skilled nursing centers, but Park Place of St. John appreciates the commitment to quality that The Joint Commission’s standards represent, so we gladly apply.
Vohra Wound Physicians Center of Excellence for Wound Management Recognition
Park Place Health & Wellness Center has been certified as a Vohra Wound Physicians Center of Excellence for Wound Management. The Center of Excellence in Wound Management was created to highlight and identify facilities that have developed a superior wound management program. To receive this award, we have met the following criteria: Less than 1% wound related hospitalization rate; Vohra wound physician rounding with an average wound census of more than 5 patients per week; Regular team meetings with a focus on Quality and Process Improvement (QAPI); Designated Vohra wound care certified nurse with availability 7 days a week. U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News awards the designation of Best Senior Living only to those communities that satisfy U.S. News’ statistical assessment of performance on consumer satisfaction surveys administered. Only 43% of the nearly 4,000 communities that U.S. News evaluated earned a “Best” rating. Park Place of St. John received Best Assisted Living recognition, as well as Best Independent Living honors.
