Grateful for You
In the midst of this worldwide pandemic, your unwavering faithfulness inspires us all. Even when the whole world seemed to be holding its breath, you did not pause to reach out and bless Providence Life Services.
You gave from your hearts by hand-sewing masks to protect residents and staff, baking cookies, cakes and other treats, and sending notes of encouragement.
You demonstrated generosity to our employees through the Mission Award fund – a $750,000 fund distributed to staff who remained faithful to their calling, despite the threat of COVID-19. Our remarkable staff has in turn experienced only one-third of the staff turnover rate of other organizations in our industry.
You supported our ongoing ministry through generous additional donations of over $1,000,000.
And most of all, you prayed for this ministry and its residents. We owe you a debt of gratitude and are very grateful.
God worked through your generous hearts to help us accomplish amazing things during the past year of COVID-19. We needed your partnership, or we would not have been able to survive this last year.
Here’s a short list of what we were able to accomplish during the pandemic:
Among all our facilities, the COVID-19 infection rates were roughly the same as the broader community around our buildings. Considering that our residents – who are older and often with multiple health concerns – were very susceptible to this virus, we are proud that our infection rates were very low, by industry standards.
During the course of the last year, the various state health departments actively visited our communities. In over 30 surveys during last year, our facilities were not cited for a single infection control deficiency.
Where applicable, we remained Accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. We are listed as “Best Nursing Home” in the listings of the US News & World Report. And, we remain high on the staffing and over-all Star Rankings issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
We have served our residents safely. We opened ourselves to serving the broader community who contracted this novel virus. And now, by God’s grace, we are reopening our facilities to residents and their families.
We are indeed grateful for you. As you walked beside us in 2020, we pray that you will continue to bless us with your support through this next year.
